I will soon exhale
And it will be sensuous
And last a lifetime

Garbage In: A Haiku

Used then discarded
Rubbish now or recycled
Into your new life

So long being served
A meal I never asked for
From some strange kitchen

Have I told you yet
It bleeds effervescent orange
The scent of sunburst

Of these eyes you spoke
And of my ribbonless heart
Yes you didn’t know

An elegant stretch
May be all my sinew craves
After all’s been said

All the looking east

Light and lightning to be found

Its warmth has our back

You have harmed this place
Made my days all the more less
May my pain prompt you

A soul set aflame
A heart that stirred when hearing
The sound of my voice

You must’ve anguished
The day I saw your magic
I saw you’re magic
