Avoid suffering
Walk as if I’m a figment
So soon I will be

June 21, 2016: A Haiku

I need your shoulders
covered, dear one, when the night
air proves chilled again.

When I am near you,
I am found nearer to me.
Still. I know my place.

I wonder was he
there, The dark, at life’s first cry.
‘Twas eve, afterall.

But for candlelight
It grows dimmer with each night
Her glad silhouette

What has brought me pain
Is only merciful truth
Shining down on me

Ask just the question
To which you see the answer
Warns the tattered heart

All the all of you
Aimed straight at my soul I wish
Weren’t coincidence

was it that i was
a most delicate flower
who could hold her own?

I have fancy eyes
And smiles that last forever
With which to make haste
