Blanket Me with books
In the grass and balmy air
Try to kiss me there

June 11, 2016: A Haiku

The one running loose
With Einstein hair wants to learn
Is love relative

My hand and a kiss
Take nothing more from me, Love
Summon no wise words

And it’s disastrous
And it beautifies the world
Imagination

It was just a child
The world put its weight upon
It was just a bride

You held it for me
Hope as to lift up a friend
I prayed it for you

First things first ‘Tis true
Yea, the first, last and only
I want to be you

I need it reversed
All that was left unspoken
And all that was said

You cannot capture
all that is musing about
here in this vessel.

Lie here tenderly
And if the truth be revealed
I will tend to it
