When, without aiming,
you still dare to spill your soul
-there goes white-hot grace.

Let Light: A Haiku

Should shadows stop you
Tear down the looming dark door
Let light lead you forth

I’m stunned by the year
to come and all it has giv’n
and how much we danced.

We run the good race
And along the route we learn
To thirst for what’s right

You know you owe me
An amazingly awesome
Explanation God

I vow to wait for
the airy, broad strokes of you
as you’ve been set free.

May I see Truth in today
Despite the color

All will be all right
If we remember our roots
And dig the way back

For the late-December rain
