Exhausted, this path
Deliberate and unknown,
Found us reaching out

thursday i think: A Haiku

With only my thoughts
Dancing down this gorgeous road
It is lonely here

The cool Country eve
Hopes to get a leg up on
The hot Urban morn’

I’d wish to be late
By all I needed to be
As the sun slinked up

Whenever you speak
With that flashy, rumbling smile
We ignore the rain

The old areas
with the same old aches, or new
places with new plans?

The Sun has spoken
“I will not do this for naught
Rise with me people”

Your wings electric
They feel when first you exhale
Out from the small space

Soaked still in the shock
Of Some fictitious saga
That ended at all

What more will we be
When with one defiant stroke
We tether our hearts
