I cannot escape
From a solitary word
Not made gold by you

We in the circle
Looking out welcoming in
Wonderful circle

With deepening sighs
My skin pressed against your skin
We finally kissed

I’m not alone now
But she doesn’t look at me
With peace like I’d hoped

I will inject fear
Into my everyday eyes
I’ll become immune

Who would cross that ridge
And not recognize heaven
Who’d not worship there

I heard the door slam
decidedly. I’d said it:
You’ve forsaken much.

Today I’ve noticed
The quiet in the color
I can’t regret This

What must I breathe out
That when I breathe in again
We would both be one

Let your mind rest there
And know that I love you true
Now think the best thoughts
