i see black n white

i see what should be secret

i see palms on glass

Underneath the leaf
I can’t see the voice of Love
I can’t hear its hands

While wishing wishes
And chasing sleep
On hikes to ridges
With oaths we keep

The first promise dance
And Aft’ Party
With sand surrounding
On thrills at sea

Rememb’ring shared breaths
While leaking tears
Just offer your hand
All through the years

As simple an act
As two creatures holding hands
Tells me there is God

My hands feel empty

It seems that’s what you’ve wanted

Empty, outstretched hands

I wrestle with wild
It stiff-arms, to keep me safe
It smiles and it waits
