This is a gentle rain, I promise
And it will not drown,
But renew you
Your ghosts
Your clouds
Will linger for their time,
Then be washed away

Oxbow Bend
I don't want to miss a song, love
The harmony of us, the range
The highs and lows
And when there be storms
The chase
Mad River
All these people in over their heads
gladly
treading water, still.
Prettying up their
space
in ways thought not possible.
May we have peace, perfect peace
despite
the taunts of the cats in the box.
Black Diamond II
The death-grip surrounding
Some bouquet
The white-lace lies getting
In the way
I watch such nonsense fleeing
From my day
Jack

Should the sunrise be at your back
Today, or for a spell
Won't you carry on?
Let those on the shoreline
Seeing their truth for the first time
Have their realizations
Know
If you're facing darkest unknowns
Light can only follow you
Lucidity

Dreaming
While awake and
In need
Of sleep
I am not ready
To not
Be here
In the place between
There and here
I can make you
Come true
Sunset On July: A Haiku
Even they, the ghosts
Look to the light, so they'll know
How beauty best haunts
Untarnished
Everywhere metal and replica
Against the backdrop
Of relative barrenness
But with an ancient eye
Listen
Before the disaster
Sweetgrass under wild feet
Bruised momentarily
Yet pleased with creation
Drip, drip, drip
I see
Lichen hanging fervently
Of Might & Need: A Haiku

All we think we need
Does nothing to redeem us
And cheapens our minds
Ne’er
It's late afternoon
So the clowns have come out
The clowns and their clouds have come out
Juggling the truth
Denying the light
Sure that they'll not lose the fight
I own afternoon
And ev'ning and morn'
In armor, I'm clad to the bone
It's late now, for you
So clowns take your clouds
Back to your faint-hearted home
