We are the color, the canvas
The breadth, the reach
And the Want-To-Be-Betters
The silver that should never be picked from the gold and painted over

Happy Morning
By now, back then, I was already drunken
I knew that I knew, no questions needed
Oh, that I’d known what they two knew
But no, my heart was still nine
And caught up in stories I’d saved to survive
But today
Today, happy morning, I’m clean
Tragedy
Why am I out of breath,
You bastard from out of the depth?
What say you, that I’m strung out,
You potion that does confound?
Where remove my sandals, I’d kneel,
You place that I pray cease to feel.
Third Wheel: A Haiku
I miss suit shopping
Though I was never needed
I miss choosing ties

Come, world
Come crashing down
Just as you have threatened
While we stand up straight
Just as we have prepared
Come watch our audacious dance
Come, world
Itching
Chilled
Uncomfortable
Itching and tired
Wishing
For silk against flannel
But why
Would you wish to know all that
You wouldn’t
Would you
What good would it do
You
LOVE
No heart involved
No
It is the skin
It is the thick and the tender
That the blind won’t abide
That the visionary won’t avoid
The rough and the soft
The sweat, the tears, the blood
Which ought run free
Which prove the day-in and day-out
To beautify that veneer
To strengthen the hearts involved
.
God
Pixel by pixel
Materialized
Before my eyes
All I hoped to see
Just Yes
But, all that was to be, it seems
Dispassionate condition
Rock Dove: A Haiku
Of this I’m certain
The birds are benevolent
They wish to thrill me
Worst Kindness
Words in blue and black
Shouting from the wall
Under the guise of favor
Each day… someday…
With one decision today
I took you down
And all my eyes hear now?
Rustling flora on dogwoods
Happy at the bird on their branches
