What strategies do you use to cope with negative feelings?

These days, when I sense my own negative feelings rising up, I am thankful that I long ago began building a habit that has made me quicker to take agency of those feelings than I was in years past — I own them instead of deflecting them, so I can process and disburse them.

I’ve been the pilot
Of many a flight of thought
Bound for no-man’s land
