Would a wise woman
Let her soul wander there? Where
no place else will do?
“Good Morning”
I want to be barefoot for this.
Off come my shoes, for this theatrical hill with its ironic script and organic tea are akin to Heaven.
An ecstatically amusing Heaven.
You Checkered Flag
My 13th trip
Around the Sun
I heard a cry
It sounded like
A big hard smile
A crinkled nose
Two laughing eyes
A light lit deep
And since that time
I understand
My racing heart
Eternal flame
It was always
You. Checkered Flag.
Slingshot
I lick chops
with the pack.
Keen eyes look
with the pack.
Call to Moon
with the pack.
Raise up young
with the pack.
Stir up fun
with the pack.
I don’t hunt with the pack.
The Pull
The Moon can’t shift
I know It can’t
But if It could
And was inclined
There is a place
at this Green Earth
Where It could sit
And calmly watch
The stars
This Haiku: But In Your Stead
My learned eyes blind
to scribbled provocation.
But my ears, weak. Weak.
Progress
I watched life from afar saunter up.
Dance with me.
Go slow?
Yes.
Hold me close?
Of course.
Life knows what best suits
-within minutes, spinning at breakneck speed.
But it does have my hand.
With Deep Regard
A tune will wedge its way in
To your head
To tell you something
Whether it’s convenient or at all expected
Thank the one who shared it
Meander through the melody
Sink into the singer’s shoes
Handstand on its hook

I found when I find
me, they are not far behind.
I can’t help but cry.
My tears understand
that there’s no one to save me
so I save myself.
