She was twenty four
Everyday in my mind’s eye
I will flirt with her

Swallow the bitter
And know deeper gratitude
In small sweetnesses

All my yesterdays
I so freely gave away
Have changed my today

How is it so true
The whether doesn’t matter
That I need your touch

…and I’ll find my way,
striding on the energy.
Nay -dancing, on it.

Vast and high and great
My expectations in Him
Bring forth the day, then

Tell me what to do
I’ll whisper sweet denials
All the livelong Day
