Sheets: A Haiku

As I realize
The downright folly of thoughts
I pull them up high

Jersey: A Haiku

At day’s end I fall
into the red not having
known the poem of you.

Unsettled I am
Reflecting on the fine line
Hope and Delusion

sweet and willing wings
the babiest bird I seek
to rest my tired head

None ebony plan
Do you have for where I ache
Sing me then to sleep

I want our alone
Damn it how you talk to me
As if I were yours

i’m wasting a wish

but it feels worth it to me

i wish you nearer

A screaming Eagle
Has made this life most perfect
It’s not what I saw

Of sand, stars, ashes
We’re on our knees, sifting through
Blindfolded even

You’d not comprehend
This learned strip of rose Sky
Said East’s horizon
